Passport to Liverpool

“PASSPORT TO LIVERPOOL” (2008)

Documentary for TV and DVD

Running Time: 51 minutes

The story of a city on the edge, “Passport to Liverpool” voyages to the heart of a vibrant port – once the gateway to the British Empire and now one of the UK’s top tourist destinations. With its character built on the dockside by seafarers and thousands of immigrant souls seeking new beginnings, Liverpool has since developed as a fiercely proud and independent metropolis; where its identity as an English city is often questioned and “Scouse-not-English” is the unofficial motto!

“Passport To Liverpool” speaks to and about the men and women who have inherited the city’s spirit, not only casting light on its legacy as a great seaport but also the nature of a home grown culture whose music influence has been exported worldwide by seamen and artists alike.
